Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to all appointments and treatments at Rüh Dental clinics. Additional terms apply at Rüh Dental Harrods; these are set out at the end of this page and take priority where they differ. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Appointments
- All new patients should arrive 10 minutes before their appointment to complete the relevant forms.
- Consent forms may be emailed to you before treatment. Completing them in advance helps us see you at your scheduled time.
- For all general appointments, please arrive promptly.
- If you are running late, please call the clinic as soon as possible. We may not be able to see you if your late arrival would affect other patients’ appointments.
- We reserve the time needed for each appointment, so delays have a knock-on effect on other patients and the wider clinic schedule.
2. Cancellations
- If you are unable to attend, please contact the clinic straight away.
- Appointments of up to 2 hours require 48 working hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
- Appointments of more than 2 hours require 14 working days’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
- Your deposit will not be refunded if you cancel outside these notice periods or do not attend.
- If a patient fails to attend or cancels late on three occasions at any Rüh Dental clinic, we reserve the right to decline future appointments and may end their treatment.
3. Your right to cancel
If you book your appointment or treatment online, by phone or by email, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of booking and receive a full refund. If you ask us to start your consultation or treatment within those 14 days and then cancel, we may charge for the services already provided and for any bespoke items already ordered for you.
4. Deposits
All appointments require a deposit when booking:
- New patient consultation: £50
- Treatment appointments: 50% of the total treatment fee
- Invisalign review appointments: £50 holding deposit, refunded at the end of treatment
New patient deposits are refundable if you cancel more than 48 working hours before your appointment. Deposits are redeemable against the cost of your consultation or treatment.
Our clinicians’ time is valuable, and giving us notice allows us to offer your appointment to other patients who are waiting.
5. Payment options
Finance
- You may be able to spread the cost of treatment over 12 or 18 months at 0% interest, depending on the total fee.
- Finance is subject to status and standard credit checks.
- Finance agreement links must be completed within 48 hours of being issued, after which they will expire.
- If you cancel finance after the 14-day cooling-off period, a charge of 10% of the total treatment cost will apply.
- [ADD: Rüh Dental acts as a credit broker, not a lender, and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN XXXXXX). Credit is provided by [LENDER NAME].]
Bespoke medical devices
Because personalised medical devices are made specifically for you, we cannot offer refunds once manufacture has begun. This includes custom-made aligners, retainers, appliances, crowns, bridges, onlays, dentures, and splints or night guards. This does not affect your rights if a device is faulty or not as described.
GoCardless (orthodontic treatment only)
- Direct debit payment through GoCardless is available for orthodontic treatment only.
- A minimum deposit of £1,000 is required.
- Direct debit payments are taken over the course of your treatment.
- The final payment must be made before your treatment is completed.
6. Treatment guarantee
- Rüh Dental provides a 1-year guarantee on cosmetic treatments. The guarantee is valid only when repairs are carried out at Rüh Dental and you attend a routine exam or treatment review every 6 months.
- The guarantee does not cover damage caused by trauma, poor oral hygiene, decay, gum recession, gum disease, or treatment carried out elsewhere.
- We recommend a hygiene appointment every 6 months and a maintenance polish every 12 months.
- This guarantee is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights, including your right to have treatment carried out with reasonable care and skill.
7. Refunds
- Full refunds are available if you cancel within the required notice period.
- Finance refunds must be requested in writing within the cooling-off period.
- Please allow up to 7 working days for refunds to be processed.
- No refunds are available for bespoke medical devices once manufacture has begun, unless the device is faulty or not as described.
8. Feedback and complaints
- For general feedback, please email the clinic.
- For formal complaints, please email csteam@ruhdental.com. A manager will respond within 48 working hours and may invite you to discuss your concerns by phone or in person.
- If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Dental Complaints Service, a free and impartial service for private dental patients, funded by the General Dental Council.
- You can also share feedback about our clinics with the Care Quality Commission, which regulates dental services in England.
- For complaints about how we use your personal data, please see our Privacy Notice.
9. Zero tolerance policy
We will not tolerate abuse, aggression, threats or violence towards our staff or patients. Patients who behave in this way may be removed from our patient list, and the police may be contacted.
10. Medical history
We take a full medical history at your first appointment and update it every year, or sooner if needed. Please tell us about any changes to your health or medication.
11. Infection control
We follow strict infection control protocols and publish an annual infection control statement. Hand sanitiser, gloves and masks are available on request.
12. Quality assurance
We aim to provide consistently high-quality dental care for all our patients.
13. Consent
You will receive full information about your treatment before being asked to consent. Treatment consent forms, and media consent forms where relevant, must be signed before treatment.
14. CCTV
CCTV operates at our clinics for the safety and security of staff, patients and premises, in line with UK data protection law. See our Privacy Notice for details.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
